Do you sometimes feel that God is distant? You want Him to come and spend time with you but you don’t ‘feel’ Him there. Do you cry out to Him to come and change your circumstances. Heal you, be with you, to make His presence known. To lift you up out of the mess you are in.

Psalm 31 says O Lord In you I have taken refuge. Let me never be ashamed. In your righteousness deliver me. Incline your ear to me , rescue me quickly. Be to me a rock of strength. A stronghold to save me.

I love the Psalms whether you feel down, lonely, afraid, troubled, happy, life is good or bad there is always a Psalm that you can go to. They often start off with crying out to God for help and then end with joy and praise. Spending time with our God changes things. Praise Him whatever is going on because praise changes the atmosphere. The enemy flees when you are worshipping our God He is worthy of our praise whatever is going on in our lives. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He draws near to us as we draw near to Him and He knows what we need. He knows our weaknesses. He has watched over us all our lives. He has seen our pain, the hurt that was done to you, the joys. He understands. He knows . He cares. Sometimes He seems silent or absent but He is with us always. He promised t never leave us or forsake us.

Life might be hard right now for many reasons health, worries, pain, but God is with you and loves you. Spend time with Him in the silence, in His Word, by His Spirit within you and in prayer. Its there that He meets us. Take that time to spend with Him and He will guide you and lead you to the truth of His word.

Be still and know that He is God and He is with you always to the very end of the age.

Remember you are never alone. He is just a whisper away. Amen
