Poems and Words of Faith

In Matthew 8 v 13 Jesus said, It shall be done for you as you have believed.

This was what Jesus said to the Centurion when he had just said, ‘I am not worthy for you to come under my roof but just say the word and my servant will be healed’. Jesus said Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. This verse caught my attention, verse 13.   Jesus said, Go it shall be done for you as you have believed.

Wow. What you believe is what you get. Do you believe God can heal you?  Or do you ask with doubt?  Do you doubt and worry over things? Am I His? Will He heal me? Will he answer my prayer? When you pray or ask like this with doubts and unbelief you are agreeing with the enemy and its not a prayer of faith.

BELIEVE in what Jesus says not the enemy. The enemy lies, he comes to steal, kill and destroy. The enemy doesn’t want you believing God, he will whisper in your ear lies and false accusations that make us ineffective in our walk as a Christian.

I know this because I have done this is my life often. I have listened to the lies and stopped doing things or come off serving God, in things because I have listened to the enemy.

Do you hear the whisper of the enemy? You can’t pray, others pray better than you.  You’re not good enough, you will never amount to anything. Are you really His? Lies Lies Lies

If you are a child of God you are dearly loved, blessed beyond measure and able, by His Holy Spirit, to live a life pleasing to God and to serve Him by the gifts He has given you.

Don’t let the enemy stop you doing what God is calling you to do. Say NO to the enemy and declare Gods word and truth over your life. Declare it all day long, if you have to, but don’t listen to the lies. Declare Gods Word. I have heard it said that say Gods word 3 times a day like medicine and do this for 21 days at least (maybe longer if its been a long time for you being this way) and see the change in your life and words.

Declare verses like, I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me. I am healed, I am loved, by His wounds I am healed, I am a child of God. I am fearfully and wonderfully made etc

Keep declaring the truth. Choose scripture and declare it over your life and when the enemy whispers in your ear say the truth instead. It may take time but keep declaring Gods word and soon you will see a difference in yourself, in your speaking and in your life.

The enemy will also keep you busy with things that stop you spending time with your Heavenly Father but be strong and spend time with God. Spend time in His word, in His presence and worshipping Him every day. He is so worthy of all our praise and worship our thanks our love.

Trust God, Declare His Word. Pray, Spend time with Him and don’t replay those old lies or beliefs in your heart and mind any more. Renew your mind. As it says in Romans Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

It’s been a long struggle for me this past few months and sometimes I can’t see the way out.  Like many of us I’m sure, we have money issues, health issues, worries, concerns, lack and to make this all worse, God seems a million miles away.

 I will be honest with you, over the past few months during a time of struggles, I have let my time with God dwindle, maybe spending time in the morning but that was about it. I felt He was miles away, maybe you can relate. I think that when struggles and ill health etc come, and it doesn’t seem to get any better, the enemy has field day. It feels like we are chained to our past, our problems, worries, fears and we just can’t seem to break free. That’s what the enemy wants us to think and feel. He wants to get us distracted from the Father, not spending as much time in prayer and Gods word.

However I have been listening to a wonderful Christian on YouTube a lot lately, she takes the time each weeknight to share Gods word and teach us and then there is a time of prayer. This has been so helpful to me. She has prayed for me and its just been a wonderful time getting back into time with God. Tonight, just before I was going to go online with this lady a video on YouTube caught my eye.

She was talking about Gods word and meditating on it. Meditating on scripture to renew your mind, so I felt maybe God had brought this to my attention for a reason. Scientists call this Neuroplasticity. I had heard of this before, but it was like the Lord was showing me again, this is what you need to do. To meditate on His word rather than my feelings, troubles and worries.

After listening to this and making many notes, I opened my bible and the first thing I saw was about Peter in the book of Acts. James had just been put to death by King Herod and Peter was put in prison. It reads Peter, was sleeping between two soldiers bound with two chains.

I stopped there. The part that said he was bound by two chains made me realise this is what we are, as well, when we are overwhelmed by life’s troubles. It’s like all the problems or worries etc we have, they bind us, they chain us up. But….. we need to turn our eyes upon our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who took the punishment for all our sins, He paid the price for us, so we didn’t have to. Turn to Him and ask for His help, to set us free from all that binds us.

We need to remember whose we are. What we have in Christ. Who we are in Christ. We need to declare Gods truth, His word over our lives, to break the chains that bind us. He came to set the captives free.

So I think the Lord has shown me what to do, and maybe you too, so let’s break those chains that bind us.  Let’s take a verse of scripture every day and declare it, repeat it, speak it, think about it, let it sink deep into our hearts, mind and spirits. And as we declare Gods word may we be transformed by the renewing of our minds and become the people we were meant to be.

Lord we thank you for your precious word. Thank you for the treasures it holds and I pray that you would renew our minds by your word. As we repeat it and let it sink into our hearts and minds may our lives be changed and renewed In Jesus name Amen

Are you like a rabbit in a hole, hiding?Scared to go anywhere or do anything sometimes. Maybe like a rabbit you peek out now and again see what’s going on but dash back in when things get too much or fear grips you.
He is calling you out, He is calling you to trust Him. Why is her trust and faith so small?
He told her if she had faith as small as a mustard seed she could say to this mountain be removed and it would be. He said when troubles come He would be with her, His promises are true. So why does she doubt? Why does she fear? The only one that can save, heal, help and restore her and so much more, is her Father.
The enemy wears us down, one arrow after another, ill health, money worries, issues of all sorts and sizes and shapes. We’ve believed the lies and become stuck in our ways, after all we have been this way for years now.

Well today is a brand new day. A day to say NO to the enemy, no to his lies, no to his schemes, no to keeping us bound and useless in Gods kingdom and family

Lord draw near to that frightened rabbit, hold her, love her and release her from all that is not of you, from the traps set before her and behind. Set her free, free to serve, free to love, free to do and be all you’ve called her to be.

Our God is a God of forgiveness, love, hope, joy and an ever-present help in times of trouble and we can trust Him with everything. His arms are open wide, they are outstretched towards you. Run into your Fathers arms, just as the prodigal son did and find that He isn’t angry, He isn’t ashamed of you, or cross with you. He loves you, forgives and welcomes you into His presence with joy and love everlasting.
