Psalm 42 v 5 says Why are you downcast my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? It just came to me as I sat with the Lord this morning then this all came out, I was writing it all down and realised again it was all based on Scripture.

“Do not turn your face from me. Gather me in your arms as a hen gathers her chicks. Lift me up our of the miry pit and set my feet upon a rock. This poor man cried to the Lord and he heard me from His Holy sanctuary. Put your hope in God for he is with you and you are His child. I will again sing praises to my God not just in good times but in all times he is my rock my ever present help in times of need.

We may find ourselves in that place of discouragement, our soul is downcast because trials, pressures, ill health etc seem to keep on coming at us like fiery darts. I was thinking about this and thought what is the antidote to this? Praise !!

When you are feeling downcast and low, trouble from every side, keep your eyes on Jesus,. Praise Him. Praise Him through all the pain and the troubles, all the suffering.

Lay your request before Him. He knows what you need and when you need it. Then go about your day knowing He is in control. He has you in the palm of His hand so praise Him. Get your mind off the problems and onto Him. Praise Him, Praise is a weapon. The enemy doesn’t want us to praise So praise God , thank God that you are His and He is with you always. He is our healer, our redeemer, our Father who loves us more than we will ever truly understand

So the enemy shouts lies Don’t listen, Speak Life, Speak Gods word out loud to declare His truth over you not the enemy’s lies and remember Praise Him for He is worthy of our praise. Praise will bring you into the presence of God and the enemy will flee. He will come back and try again but declare scripture and Praise God one day at a time.
