The troubled lamb

She had come to be with her Father God in the early hours of the day. She had been thinking about Him, her Shepherd, her Father and that we are part of His flock, His sheep

She imagined entering into the throne room to find her Father but today she felt alone. She wanted to spend time with Him and seek Him. She wanted to be loved, to be held by Him. To sit with Him but would He be there?  Would He be waiting for her. Telling her it will all be alright, I’m here. She hoped He would. She had tried to be all that He had called her to be but she had failed Him many times because she had lacked trust, felt she was not good enough, others seemed to have it all together. She felt inadequate, insignificant and I suppose insecure?

She’d believed in Father God all her life, He had always been part of her life. She had seen Him at work in amazing ways through healing, through struggles but she listened to the enemy’s lies more than Gods truth often times because she believed the lies. She felt they were more true about her.

Oh how she needed Him, how much she loved Him but with all the things that were going on in her life again, she was focused more on them rather than Him most days. She wanted to trust her Father and serve Him with all her heart but often doubts and fears would plague her. She wanted to be closer to her Father, to hear Him speak into her situation. She spend time with Him and sometimes she would get a word or a passage come to mind or a picture but she would often question was that really Him?

She carries on walking into the throne room, she’s looking all around her as she goes. She kneels. She prays. She cries.  Will He come. Will He hold her. Reassure her.

Then she sees Him. He had been there all the time. He is always there and always will be. He promised that. She is full of joy and falls at His feet. She sits with Him and talks with Him, shares what’s on her heart and He speaks to her. Such joy fills her heart. She’s not alone, she’s never alone.

We are never alone, sometimes it feels that way but its just a feeling, don’t go by your feelings they change from day to day. God loves you, God is with you, read His word, spend time with Him. Get into that secret place just you and Him. You’ll never regret it 🙂

Deuteronomy 3v18 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
