All the voices that clamber,
To take our peace away
That try and make us turn from you
To keep us in a prison every day

All the words that flood in
From the pain and deepest grief
The tears that flow like rivers
Trying to block out our faith and belief

All the words of I can’t and fear
That have had their hold for years
All the words of you’ll never be
Where all sown in pain and tears

But Jesus Lord our Saviour
You died so we could be set free
From all the lies we have believed
To be all that you’ve called us to be

So help us break the strongholds
Break free from the lies of the past
To break free from the grief and sorrow
Let your truth and your word ever last

For you are our God and saviour
We look to you for you can heal
Come save us from our wrong thinking
And in Jesus, our hope, to reveal
